New to chiropractic care?
Dr. Weitz will explain how chiropractic care works to help relieve pain naturally and help you heal thoroughly. When you first arrive, you will be asked to fill out your personal health history and insurance information. From there, your visit moves into the exam itself.
What happens when you come in

First visit, 45 to 60 minutes
It is time for your exam. Our first step is to determine if chiropractic care is right for you. During your exam, we test your reflexes and flexibility, run an Insight Millennium scan, and perform other standard tests as necessary.

Second visit, about 30 minutes
We review your report of findings and functional neurology results together, and answer any questions you have. This is where we talk about a plan, if one makes sense.

How safe are chiropractic adjustments?
Chiropractic has a long safety record, and instrument adjusting sits at the gentle end of it. The Integrator delivers a light, measured impulse to a single segment, so nothing is twisted and nothing is forced.
Will adjustments make my spine too loose?
Only the spinal joints that are locked up receive an adjustment, with the goal being balanced, functional motion rather than general looseness.
How many adjustments will I need?
The number of adjustments varies with each patient and their individual health goals. You get a straight answer at your second visit, once the exam and the scan have told us something real.
Isn't some back pain normal?
Pain of any kind, at any age, is a sign that something is not right.
Can I adjust myself?
Some people can make their joints pop, but that is not a true adjustment.
What does an adjustment feel like?
Most patients report a sense of well being or a feeling of calmness. With the Integrator, the adjustment itself is a light tap.
Can patients with osteoporosis get chiropractic care?
When developing a care plan for a patient with osteoporosis, your chiropractor considers their unique circumstances first, taking into account things like bone density, medication history, how long ago a diagnosis was made and anything else relevant to that particular person before settling on an approach.
Can I have chiropractic care after back surgery?
In most cases, yes. We will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine and work around them.
