PMS, thyroid, hormones

When your body's signals get crossed.

Some of the most common health complaints we hear about, PMS, thyroid symptoms, chronic stress and fatigue, all trace back to the same system: the one that carries signals between your brain and the rest of your body.

Concerns we see

Tied to the endocrine system

  • Insulin and blood sugar regulation
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Chronic stress and fatigue
  • Thyroid function
  • PMS symptoms
  • Fertility concerns

Diabetes involves insulin. Anxiety, depression and a lot of chronic disease involve stress hormones. Thyroid issues, PMS and fertility concerns all sit inside the body's endocrine system. None of these work in isolation. The endocrine system is directed by the nervous system, the same communication network that chiropractic care is built around.

Where chiropractic actually fits in

When there is interference along the spine, the signals travelling between brain and body, including the hormonal ones, can be affected. That does not mean an adjustment replaces medication or an endocrinologist. It means the two conversations, the hormonal one and the neurological one, are more connected than most treatment plans account for.

Dr. Aaron Weitz delivering an adjustment with the Integrator at the clinic

Plenty of people manage hormone-related symptoms with medication alone, without ever being told about the trade-offs involved, including nutrient depletion over time. We take a broader view: spinal and neural stress, nutrition and lifestyle alongside whatever care you are already receiving, so you understand not just what to do, but why.

What a first visit looks like here

Your first visit runs 45 to 60 minutes and includes an Insight Millennium scan that measures what your nervous system is actually doing. Dr. Weitz, DC, has been in practice since graduating CMCC in 1995 and opened this office in 2003, and he will tell you plainly if what you are dealing with is outside what chiropractic care can address.

The nervous system is worth a second look.
